Final Project: Portfolio Critique

FINAL CRITIQUE

I found this class to be a great step in the right direction for me. I gained confidence in Illustrator and also more knowledge in the overall design process. For me it was fun and I wish I dedicated, or could have dedicated more time to certain projects.

For this final project I enjoyed creating the portfolio. I think it was a great way to end the semester. Even though I kind of stretched myself to have twenty pieces to fill the portfolio I did realize I need to apply myself a little more in order to really get the best work out and into the public. I have ideas, I just need the time to put them into play.

My layout is a basic template I created for the entire portfolio. I included my Illustrator work which includes design and illustration, plus my photography and photoshop projects from last year and this year.

For my final print on demand piece I went with a graphic I had worked on previously, but never really finished. This time around I started from scratch and really went into depth with the design piece. This class helped a lot with forming the final piece, I call, Two Worlds. I decided to have T-shirts printed. I did 25 women and 25 men t-shirts. The women's is done in gold foil, which turned out really nice and they sold FAST. I made some good money off of them actually, which was icing on the cake.

Overall, I'm happy with building a presence online and doing some face-to-face interaction in regards to my designs. People really liked the way the shirts came out and I'm hoping to continue to see more sales in the near future.
