Building a portfolio for me is kind of a
waste of time and money because I can’t even imagine showing it to anyone. I enjoyed doing it and I am glad I learned
how but I will be working for myself and have a clientele of people I know and
word of mouth advertising. I don’t plan
on putting my name on anything I do; therefore people will have to ask the
people I do work for who did it for them.
I am too old to try to get a start up job with a company when there are
much younger more talented people all around me. I do what I do out of the love of doing it
and my desire to get better, I strive to be the best so I am determined to work
harder and longer than others on projects.
Reality is the profession of graphic design is for the younger more hip
person and those days for me are behind me.
I took several pieces that I did in this
class and in others and put them on cafepress.com (http://www.cafepress.com/Funnyshop6)
because of the timing, prices, and how long it would take to purchase a shirt
and ship it, I had one printed locally. I did a portfolio but cant remember the website I used (it sucks getting old)
What about your digital portfolio?
