Altering the font as you did to convey a shape of a shark was really clever. I think it was really well done, the only thing I could think of was maybe changing the gradient to more ocean like colors like aquamarine or something instead of a violet. And possibly putting more emphasis on the shark fin at the top would be nice. Really cool though! He looks hungry. lol
Good job with shaping the text and also with using the clipping mask with the shark! One suggestion might be to see if you could get the whole body of the shark to spell the word hungry instead of just half the shark. Nice work!
I get the concept and I like the radiant treatment in the background. I think that if you emphasized the rays it may have given the illusion of sun rays shining under the ocean.
Gnarly idea looks good! Using the Y as the fin turned out real well.
