I think they're both interesting to look at, however the bottom one seems a bit dull- if that was the intention, awesome! I do like the font you used though. The top one seems like something I'd see on a concert ad or something, I like the colors and how they pop out at you and catch your eye.
I like the way all the letters of the top "Robert" are joined together and the complementary color scheme makes it pop. The bottom one seems muted and maybe . . . morose? Like your name is fading away . . .
