I liked this project. Took me a while to put ideas on paper, but
once I got going I really enjoyed tweaking the ideas in my head, to paper, to
vector.
My first logo is for a
jewelry/accessory line for tween girls ages 9-13. The brand is Just4us or Justus and I created the heart using the ellipse tool then added
some shapes using the pen tool to give the heart some depth. Finally I used Scriptina (free font),
expanded it (created outlines) then used the pathfinder to minus the script
from the heart shape after I got it just to where I liked it.
Second logo is a high end fitness
club just for women. The brand is The Firm and it is targeting women aged
40-49 with high income. I found a fit
woman and used her image to make my own vector art. Added some hair and made
her flex. I then chose a script font and
a more modern business type font to complete the logo. I'm going for a balance between work and
personal life. The firm having two
meanings, firm as being in shape and firm like business firm. I went deep on
this one.
Third logo is for men aged 25 and
under with 25 low to mid income. I chose
an energy drink product and the brand is called Oomph Energy. I toyed with having the O's look like wheels and
spinning out, but I didn't like the way it turned out. It was too cartoonish. I did however like how the MPH is in the word
Oomph, turned that into a racing thing, speed, energy. I rolled with it. I used the pen tool and ellipse tool to
create the speedometer. Used a digital
font and a modern artsy font. I skewed
the word Energy to give it some movement and used a gradient fill on my
speedometer also for movement.
Finally, my last logo is for 70+
yr old men with mid to high income. I chose a dating site. The brand is called $ugarDaddy.com. Pretty
much self explanatory, I just had fun with this one. I vectored some shades, took the sugar daddy
name and then minus from back on the pathfinder tool. Then I tried to make the .com part look like
a nose. Pretty basic, hope it gets the
branding across well enough.

Very good! Those look very realistic. I could see them being advertised somewhere. I really like The Firm. I'd like to know how you did that.
ReplyDeleteFor the Firm logo I placed a photo of a woman and just used the pen tool to create shapes to represent the shadows on her upper body. The hair was totally made up because she had her hair pulled back.
DeleteThese are all very well done, very professional. I LOVE SugarDaddy.com, what a GREAT concept! :D
ReplyDeleteThese are very well though out, you did a great job!
ReplyDeleteThey all look great, good job using negative space to simplify each logo. SugarDaddy.com is too funny!
ReplyDeleteYour logos made me giggle when i saw them (particularly the sugar daddy one)
ReplyDeleteThey fit perfectly for all the assigned age groups while staying away from generic!
Great job on the logos. Each one has a uniqueness to it. i like how the text connects to each individual logo. a lot of thought went into it. Theyre both interesting and funny which makes it catch your attention
ReplyDeleteVery creative. The fitness logo is extremely Well-done and is a true logo ad it would work as any color even black and white. I think the energy drink is veary creative but it reads to me as 00MPH or 0mph. so as compared to the 100mph the needle is as im only going 0mph. I think by incorporating a 1 into the logo as a different color would help it read better without loosing the name.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I see what your saying. I get that too. Thanks for the feedback!
DeleteGreat concepts. I like your creativity in picking the products/brands. Strong graphics. Good choice of fonts and colors.
ReplyDeleteAll four of these are really nice and clean. The heart one is simple but very clean as well as the firm one. I like all of these because they could easily be used in color or black white and still have the same effect when being used. nice work!
ReplyDeleteOverall great job. The only thing that gets me is the .com on the sugar daddy website. It seems a little off, but I'm not sure what it is.
